Any Perkins School for the Blind students, staff, or fellow grads in The Zone?

I was born in '82...

Amazing!! :-) --Davey
I went to the summer outreach program at Perkins in July 2001. Any people from that on here? God that campus is confusing. I got lost on it right after the OandM instructor gave me clearance to go to the snack bar alone, and was wandering for fifteen minutes which seemed like forever trying to find our cottage. Very nice peope up there.
Well, yah, it's a confusing campus. I'd guess that's by design. Helps blindies get their sense of direction, ya know?? LOL. I find it easier to get around some parts of downtown Boston than parts of the campus, and I was there from 1967 to 1982. Go figure.
The summer Out-reach program didn't exist when I was a student, but I interviewed for a "Computer Skills Instructor" job there last year. Boy, what an intense, boot-camp-like program that is.

Hi, I'm a student here now, and I"m havin hard times with it, but
it's ok!
Glad you find it "ok". What cottage you in? I happen to live near campus, and make frequent trips to the Talking Book Library. A couple years ago, I did some rowing with y'all:).

The summer I was there, we had this huge party at Keller-Sulivan. And you row on the Charles right? I remember kayaking there once.
i know many people at the school because i have someone who works there.
To Poster 8: Yes, I play on the Charles river.
I am actually a student there. I'm graduating in eight days! I didn't really find the campus confuSING> I like it, but things about it irritate me sometimes.

i agree with post 11 its not to confusing :-)
Wouldn't want to go someplace where you had to get 'clearance' from an instructor of any kind to go to the snack bar. Sounds like 'twould be a royal pain in the ass, the clearance / stiflement issue I mean.
I realize it's all a matter of perspective. My wife was surprised when I told her in my junior high we could get off-campus passes for lunch hour / break since we were downtown. Then again she was a primary school teacher at one point ...
